Furlex 204S Jib Furler Kit – Forestay ø6 mm

Furlex 204S jib furling system for yachts with a 6 mm forestay wire, available in three forestay lengths, a choice of terminal type, and as a Complete or Basic kit.

The Furlex 204S is a fourth-generation jib furling and reefing system for keelboats and cruising yachts. The twin-groove luff extrusion accepts a second sail for wing-on-wing downwind sailing, and the free-turn tack swivel reduces effort on that first furl. Ball bearings and bearing races are marine grade stainless steel throughout.

Forestay length. Three maximum forestay lengths are available for the 6 mm version: 10,550 mm, 12,950 mm and 15,350 mm. Measure from the centre of the tack pin to the centre of the forestay attachment at the masthead, then select the option equal to or greater than your measurement. Allow for the tack fitting adjustment range when making your selection.

Terminal type. The Standard Sta-lok terminal requires cutting the wire to length on site. The Sta-lok with integrated rigging screw allows forestay length adjustment after installation without altering tack height. The stud terminal option comes with the wire pre-cut and swaged at both ends for straightforward dockside assembly.

Complete or Basic kit. The Complete kit includes the luff extrusion, halyard swivel, tack fitting, line drum, furling line, stanchion lead blocks, halyard lead, prefeeder and Torx bits. The Basic kit excludes the stanchion blocks, halyard lead, prefeeder and Torx bits, and suits owners replacing an existing furler who already have those items on board.

Before ordering, confirm the forestay diameter and length with your rigger. Seldén recommends verifying compatibility with your boat manufacturer or class association before fitting a new furling system.
