1. Definitions

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order.
By placing an order, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.
This store sells to customers in the United Kingdom only.
3. Contract Formation
Your order constitutes an offer to purchase goods.
A legally binding contract is formed only when the goods are dispatched.
Order confirmation emails do not constitute acceptance.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order prior to dispatch, including but not limited to cases involving:
- Pricing or technical errors
- Stock unavailability
- Suspected fraud or unauthorised payment
- Incomplete, incorrect, or unverifiable delivery address
- Shipping restrictions or logistical limitations
- Errors in product information
- Any circumstance preventing lawful or safe fulfilment
If an order is cancelled prior to dispatch, a full refund will be issued.
4. Product Descriptions and Technical Use
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions and specifications are accurate.
Marine hardware must be installed correctly and used only for its intended marine application.
Seldén products must not be used for human suspension, personal safety equipment, or any unintended purpose.
Failure to install or use products correctly may result in injury or equipment failure.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of UK VAT.
Shipping charges are shown at checkout.
Payment must be completed before dispatch.
6. Delivery and Risk
Risk in goods passes to you only when goods are delivered into your physical possession.
Until delivery, risk remains with Seldén Mast Ltd. For orders collected from our factory, risk passes to you at the point of collection.
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
7. Warranty
Seldén products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from delivery. The following extended warranty periods apply to specific product lines:
- Five years from delivery for manual Furlex, CX, GX, and CXr furling systems
- Standing rigging: limited to 20,000 nautical miles regardless of the time period above
This warranty applies in addition to your statutory rights under UK law. To make a warranty claim, you must notify us in writing within seven days of discovering the defect. Please email ecom@seldenmast.co.uk with your order number and a description of the issue.
Variation or contrast in the colour of anodised spars is a natural characteristic of the anodising process and does not constitute a defect. It is not accepted as grounds for return or replacement.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Warranty does not apply to damage caused by:
- Improper installation
- Misuse
- Modification
- Normal wear and tear
- Failure to follow instructions
8. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total price paid by you for the goods giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website is owned by or licensed to Seldén Mast Ltd.
Unauthorised use is prohibited.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- War
- Government restrictions
- Labour disputes
- Supply chain disruptions
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12. Privacy and Data Protection

13. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance at ecom@seldenmast.co.uk. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 working days.
